Alcohol in Disneyland: Where to Find Beer, Wine & Cocktails at the Parks

Wondering where to find alcohol at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park?
Even the Happiest Place on Earth can get a little happier when cocktails are involved. The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California is one of the most family-friendly destinations in the world. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of adult beverages to be found.
A few years ago, I fulfilled my lifelong Disney dream of “Drinking Around the World” at EPCOT. Margaritas in Mexico! Champagne in France! Beer in Germany! It was so darn fun, and it got me wondering where we could find the best alcohol in Disneyland, too.
Luckily, we live in Southern California and visit the Disneyland Resort all the time. So, we happily took on this research assignment and have been scouting out our favorite cocktails, beers and other adult beverages at both theme parks.

While alcohol in Disneyland Park was once almost impossible to find, today there are spots serving adult beverages. And over at Disney California Adventure, the options are even more plentiful!
Read on for our guide to where to find alcohol in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, including our favorite drinks, best places to enjoy them and a few important rules to know before you go.
Can You Buy Alcohol at Disneyland?
Yes! Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure serve alcohol, including beer, wine and cocktails. However, there are some important differences.
At Disneyland Park, alcoholic beverages are available at select table-service restaurants and Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Drinks must be consumed at the location where they are purchased.
Disney California Adventure has considerably more options, including walk-up bars, quick-service restaurants and lounges.
And of course it goes without saying, but I will say it anyway! You must be 21 or older with valid ID to purchase alcohol at either park.
Where to Get Alcohol in Disneyland Park
Does Disneyland serve alcohol? Up until a few years ago, the answer was no.
Why?
Because when Disneyland opened in 1955, Walt Disney did not want it there, plain and simple. And so it remained booze-free (with the exception of the exclusive Club 33) for more than 60 years.
But that all changed with the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in 2019! Since then, there have been a growing number of spots inside Disneyland Park that serve alcohol, as well.
Here is a rundown of where to get alcohol in Disneyland, and our picks for the best drinks.
Oga’s Cantina
- Location: Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
- Type: Lounge
- Recommended Drink: Jedi Mind Trick

Oga’s Cantina is meticulously themed, from its design to the music and even the cast members who work there. Some of the Disneyland drinks available at Oga’s Cantina include the Fuzzy Tauntaun, Jedi Mind Trick, T-16 Skyhopper and The Outer Rim. There is also a large selection of wine and unique beers on tap.
Don’t plan on having a meal there, however, as light munchies are the only food served.
If you have kids (aka “younglings”) or prefer a non-alcoholic drink, there’s the Blue Milk, Jabba Juice and a variety of other kid-friendly concoctions. Whatever you choose, the ambience alone makes venturing inside this Disneyland bar totally worth it!
Blue Bayou Restaurant
- Location: New Orleans Square
- Type: Table Service Restaurant
- Recommended Drink: Hurricane Cocktail
Another big change to the “no alcohol” Disneyland tradition came in 2021, when the Blue Bayou Restaurant, located inside New Orleans Square overlooking Pirates of the Caribbean, added alcoholic drinks to its menu.
If you are lucky enough to snag a reservation for this coveted eatery, you can now enjoy wine, beer or cocktails with your meal.
Carnation Café
- Location: Main Street, U.S.A.
- Type: Table Service Restaurant
- Recommended Drink: Cosmopolitan
Located right on Main Street, U.S.A., Carnation Café is another restaurant where you can buy alcohol in Disneyland.
If you are headed there for brunch, enjoy a Bloody Mary, Mimosa or glass of sparkling wine.
Drinks are available all day, and Carnation Café serves some of the best alcoholic drinks at Disneyland. In addition to their signature cocktails, they also offer wine and beer.
Café Orleans
- Location: New Orleans Square
- Type: Table Service Restaurant
- Recommended Drink: Signature Bourbon Julep
Located in the heart of New Orleans Square, Café Orleans is another great spot to enjoy an adult beverage at Disneyland Park. This charming French Quarter-inspired restaurant has been a Disneyland favorite since 1966.
One of the best things about Café Orleans is its outdoor patio, where you can sip a drink and watch the Mark Twain Riverboat cruise along the Rivers of America. It’s a lovely setting for a leisurely lunch or dinner, especially when the weather is nice.
Reservations are recommended, particularly if you’re hoping to snag one of those coveted outdoor tables.
River Belle Terrace
- Location: Frontierland
- Type: Table Service Restaurant
- Recommended Drink: Wildberry Mule
With a spacious patio and views of the Mark Twain Riverboat paddling down the Rivers of America, River Belle Terrace is the place to go for comfort food with a Southern flair.
Options for alcoholic drinks at River Belle Terrace are limited in comparison to some other Disneyland restaurants, but include wines by the glass, two kinds of beer, and of course their signature cocktail, the Wildberry Mule.
Disney California Adventure Park
Even though Disneyland Park has upped its game when it comes to serving alcohol, Disney California Adventure still has many more options. In fact, in many quick service restaurants at DCA have added alcohol to their menus. (Did you notice only table-service restaurants serve drinks at Disneyland theme park?)
In addition, Disney California Adventure hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, including the Food and Wine Festival in the springtime and Festival of Holidays during the Christmas at Disneyland. You’ll find kiosks with a variety of unique beverages to sample from around the world.
But for the purpose of this guide, here’s where you can find alcohol at Disney California Adventure Park any time of year.
Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge
- Location: Buena Vista Street
- Type: Table Service Restaurant and Lounge
- Recommended Drink: Classic Martini

Located on Buena Vista Street near the entrance to the park, Carthay Circle Lounge is a sophisticated spot to enjoy classic cocktails, draft or bottled beer, an impressive wine list, and even after-dinner drinks like Irish Coffee or a Brandy Alexander.

Carthay Circle is designed to feel like a swanky restaurant from the Golden Age of Hollywood, where Walt himself would have dined. The drinks here are classic and classy – and there are lots of them.
If you are not planning to have a meal at the restaurant (reservations are recommended!) sit in the lounge and pair your drink with one of the many delicious and unique bar snacks on the menu.
Pym Tasting Lab
- Location: Avengers Campus
- Type: Lounge
- Recommended Drink: Honey Fusion 2.0

For beer and cocktails with a super hero’s twist, visit Pym Tasting Lab. Disney calls this bar an “innovative beverage laboratory.”
This highly-themed outdoor lounge has a big selection of beers, cocktails and even some “beer cocktails.” (No wine here though!)
Their innovative drinks have names such as Molecular Meltdown, Particle Fizz and X-Periment.
You can also get a Pint-sized Pints Mini Flight, which is perfect for sharing. The flight comes on an oversized ruler board with mini beer steins filled with your choice of select beers or cocktails.
One quick note about Pym Tasting Lab! The lines get very long, especially on hot afternoons when everyone wants to take a break and enjoy a cold one. We found that visiting this spot earlier in the day is the best way to avoid having to wait for a drink.
Cozy Cone Motel
- Location: Cars Land
- Type: Quick Service
- Recommended Drink: Strawberry Slushy Cocktail

The Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land is a fun spot for snacking – five giant cones serving up everything from churros to ice cream. Now three of the cones serve alcoholic beverages. (It used to be only one!)

Port of San Fransokyo

Fans of Disney California Adventure know that Pacific Wharf has always been the place to go for some of the best alcoholic drinks at Disneyland. Now that it has been rebranded as the Port of San Fransokyo, it still holds that rep.
There are several great spots to enjoy alcoholic beverages at the Port of San Fransokyo.
Rita’s Turbine Blenders serves delicious frozen margaritas. They come in a variety of fruity flavors. My personal favorite is Rita’s Grand Strawberry Margarita, which comes with a splash of orange liqueur. They offer both non-alcoholic and alcoholic options, so everyone can enjoy a refreshing drink!

Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill is the place to go for great Mexican Food at DCA. They also have some alcoholic beverages on their menu, including a Classic Lime Margarita, beer, and Horchata Cocktail.

Rules for Drinking Alcohol at Disneyland
While there are plenty of places to enjoy adult beverages at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, there are a few important rules to know before ordering that cocktail!
- You must be 21 or older. You must be at least 21 years old to purchase or consume alcohol at either park. Be prepared to show a valid government-issued photo ID, even if you’re well past 21.
- There is a two-drink purchase limit. Disney limits alcohol purchases to two beverages per person, per transaction.
- You cannot bring your own alcohol into the parks. Although you can bring your own food and water into Disneyland, outside alcoholic beverages are prohibited. This applies even if you purchased drinks in Downtown Disney or one of the Disneyl]and Resort hotels.
- Disneyland Park has stricter drinking rules. Alcoholic beverages are available at select restaurants and Oga’s Cantina, but must be consumed at the location where they are purchased. You cannot take your cocktail with you to explore the park.
- Disney California Adventure is more relaxed. You can purchase beer, wine and cocktails at numerous quick-service locations and generally walk around the park with your drink. However, you cannot take alcoholic beverages outside the park or onto attractions.
Top Tip: If you want to enjoy a cocktail at one of Disneyland Park’s table-service restaurants, make a dining reservation in advance when available. For a more spontaneous drink, Disney California Adventure offers plenty of walk-up options, including Pym Tasting Lab, Bayside Brews and Rita’s Turbine Blenders.

Final Thoughts: Alcohol at Disneyland
While Disneyland may have been alcohol-free for most of its history, there are now plenty of opportunities to enjoy an adult beverage during your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
If you’re looking for a unique experience, I highly recommend stopping by Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The immersive theming makes it worth a visit, even if you’re not a huge Star Wars fan.
For a wider variety of drinks, however, Disney California Adventure is the clear winner. There are plenty of fun places to grab a drink between attractions. And many events throughout the year with special offerings, too.
Just remember that Disneyland Park has stricter rules about where alcohol can be consumed, and always check the latest menus for current offerings.
Cheers to a magical time at Disneyland!
