Looking for the best Temecula winery hotels that are family-friendly, too? I’ve got you covered!
The Temecula Valley is a little slice of heaven right in Southern California. Though many people may overlook Temecula for more famous regions like Napa and Sonoma Valley, this region is equally beautiful. Nestled among rolling hills and scenic back roads, Temecula Valley is home to nearly 50 wineries and numerous charming hotels.
And while it is undoubtedly a great destination for a romantic getaway, Temecula wine country has plenty of family friendly hotels, too.
I have spent lots of time in Temecula – both visiting for the day (Temecula is just an hour away from San Diego) and staying overnight. To help you choose the best place to stay for your visit, here’s my list of family-friendly Temecula winery hotels.
Temecula Winery Hotels That Welcome Kids
1. Ponte Vineyard Inn
Ponte Vineyard Inn At-A-Glance
- Boutique winery hotel
- Adjacent to Ponte Winery
- Four restaurants
- Wine tasting on-site
- Pool and spa
- Pet-friendly
- Fitness center
- Mini fridge in every room

Located in the heart of Temecula wine country and surrounded by more than 300 acres of vineyards, Ponte Vineyard Inn is one of the best Temecula winery hotels with pool. There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas on the pool deck, plus games and a nice-sized hot tub. The pool is big and backs right up to the vineyard! When we stayed this past summer, there were plenty of kids having fun at the pool.
Ponte Vineyard Inn is a 90-room boutique hotel with elegant but modern amenities and decor. All rooms and suites feature granite countertops, a mini fridge, signature bath amenities, and a patio or balcony with breathtaking views. (Seriously, you can almost touch the vineyard from your patio!)
Outside the hotel is equally beautiful. In addition to the vineyards, Ponte Vineyard Inn is flanked by gardens, a lake, and an expansive pool deck with games and a hot tub overlooking the vineyard and Palomar Mountains beyond.
There are four restaurants onsite including The Cellar Lounge, offering cocktails, craft beer, gourmet food and live entertainment. Ponte’s Tasting Room is a destination unto itself, with a beautiful shop, the chance to sample fine wines, restaurant, stage for events, gardens, and lots of spots to sit and enjoy.

2. South Coast Winery Resort & Spa
South Coast Winery Resort and Spa At-A-Glance
- Mini fridge and gas fireplace in every room
- Full-service GrapeSeed Spa
- Vineyard Rose Restaurant
- Pool and hot tub
- On-site wine tasting
- Pet-friendly Temecula resort
Located next door to Ponte Vineyard Inn, South Coast Winery Resort & Spa is another amazing winery hotel in Temecula.
South Coast Winery Resort & Spa sits on 38 acres of vineyards. The resort is comprised of a mix of private villas and a hotel tower filled with suites. Room amenities include fireplaces, extra deep tubs, wet bars, and private patios or balconies. In the mornings, you can watch the hot air balloons rising into the sky.
Of all the winery hotels, I’d say this is the best Temecula hotel for families. They have a great pool area, and if you stay in a villa, you’ll have a large private patio that literally extends into the vineyard. Another nice thing about the villas is you can park right next to your room, where if you stay in the tower you will have a bit of a walk plus the elevator ride.
South Coast is extremely family-friendly, and that includes pets as well as kids! Your dog will even receive a sWag Bag full of goodies at check-in. (There is a non-refundable cleaning fee charged.)
I have to admit that I found the tower’s lobby a little bland – not too different than your average chain hotel, which was a little disappointing. However, the service is exceptional and the grounds are absolutely lovely!

There’s a reason Carter Estate Winery & Resort is one of the top rated Temecula winery hotels on TripAdvisor! This luxury hotel is a great place to stay in Temecula wine country.
Situated on 112 acres, Carter Estate Winery & Resort is comprised of 60 private bungalows and suites. These beautifully decorated rooms feature deep soaking tubs, gas fireplaces, and private patios with views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards.
I’ll be perfectly honest and admit that I have not stayed at this resort. I have been to the winery, but I have not slept at Carter Estate Winery & Resort. And I have not seen the rooms in person. This is because the resort is located behind a gate and only guests can get in. You have to drive up a long, private road and check in at a Security bungalow to access the property.
I actually love this element of mystery, luxury and complete privacy.
Carter Estate Winery & Resort has a pool with food service. Breakfast is included with your stay, delivered right to your bungalow at your pre-selected time so you can enjoy it from the privacy of your room or patio.

The Temecula Creek Inn is nestled among 300 acres of rolling hills, oak trees and a beautiful 27-hole golf course – and that’s pretty fabulous, too!
And don’t worry, if you are visiting Temecula to experience its famous wine culture, there are plenty of wineries and tasting rooms nearby. In fact, you don’t even have to leave the property to experience some of the very best Temecula wines. They are served at Temecula Creek Inn’s farm to table restaurant, Cork | Fire Kitchen.
We’ve eaten at Cork | Fire Kitchen a number of times, even when not staying at the resort. It has a lovely, rustic atmosphere and nice views of the golf course. The food is locally sourced, fresh and tasty. While it is definitely on the elegant side, they do offer some more basic dishes including burgers, roasted chicken and unique salads. They even offer a kids menu and a great brunch menu, too.
Be sure to ask for a table on the outdoor patio for the best views!

Not just any casino. Pechanga Resort Casino is the largest resort and casino on the West Coast and one of the largest in the United States.

This 4.5-acre tropical pool oasis features four pools, three whirlpools, two water slides, a family pool, 27 cabanas, and a swim up bar.
Pechanga Casino rooms are equally luxurious.
