Looking for the absolute closest hotels to Disneyland located right across the street?
When it comes to hotels near Disneyland, there are almost too many to count. But if you want to stay at one of the hotels across the street from Disneyland that will have you at the theme park entrances in the shortest amount of time, I’ve rounded up the best options right here! And we’ve got a map, too, to make your planning process as easy as possible 😊
As a Southern California local and Disneyland expert, I have personally stayed at almost all the hotels on this list and toured the rest with our partners at Get Away Today. They are all located on Harbor Boulevard, within a five-minute walk of the main gate.
In fact, these hotels are so close, you’ll have views of the parks, fireworks, and monorails zipping by (if your room faces west). You can practically smell the churros!
Hotels Across from Disneyland Entrance
The top hotels across the street from Disneyland are all Good Neighbor Hotels – which means they have received Disney’s official stamp of approval.
I have listed the hotels below from north to south, starting with Howard Johnson – which is basically across the street from Tomorrowland – and ending with Castle Inn & Suites, across from Cars Land at Disney California Adventure.
1. Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground
Howard Johnson At-A-Glance
- Castaway Cove water park features two pools, water slides and a water play area
- Variety of rooms and suites to choose from
- Game room on site
- Free Wi-Fi
A pirate-themed water park and game room make Howard Johnson a favorite for families with young kids! It is the furthest away of hotels across the street from Disneyland, but still an easy walk to the Disney theme parks.
There are a range of room types, from studios to suites, to accommodate any size family. We stayed in a pirate-themed Kids Suite, which has separate bedrooms and is a great choice for large families (or in our case, two small families sharing the space!)
The hotel’s Castaway Cove water park includes fun water slides and cannons, a wading pool for the little ones and a 30-foot pirate ship. And because this hotel near to Disneyland is such a short walk away, the water park is great to visit on an afternoon break from the parks.

2. Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance
Courtyard Theme Park Entrance Hotel At-A-Glance
- Surfside Waterpark included free with your stay
- All rooms feature bunk beds
- Mini fridge and microwave in every room
- Spacious rooms comfortably sleep up to 6 people
- Great views of the water park and Disneyland
- Valet parking only
Marriott Courtyard Theme Park Entrance is fairly new – built in 2015 – so it is exceptionally clean and bright, with many modern amenities including an 1,100 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center. There are tons of family-friendly touches, too, like bunk beds in every room.
Aside from its fabulous location across from Disneyland Park, the hotel’s biggest draw for families is Surfside Waterpark, a 20,000 square foot water playground! Located on the hotel’s second level, Surfside features four water slides, a 400-gallon drench bucket, water cannons, kids’ wading pool, hot tub and outdoor swimming pool. Kids will absolutely love staying here just for the waterpark!

3. Fairfield Anaheim Resort
Fairfield Inn At-A-Glance
- Recently renovated hotel
- Outdoor walkways perfect for viewing fireworks
- Nice pool and spa
- Coffeemaker and mini-fridge in every room
- Breakfast is not included at this Fairfield Inn
Of all the hotels walking distance to Distance to Disneyland, the Fairfield Anaheim Resort by Marriott is probably the one we’ve stayed at most. And I am not the only one who loves this property! Along with the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance next door, Fairfield Anaheim was named one of Forbes 2024 Best Disneyland Hotels.
The Fairfield Anaheim is modern and comfortable, with recently-renovated rooms that include either a king or two queen beds, and a pull-out sofa. Opt for an upper floor and you’ll find a Disney-themed room with plenty of nods to Mickey Mouse and his friends. We’ve stayed in both a themed room and standard room. Their main difference is basically just the decor.
The upper floors are also the best spot to view the fireworks show, but you can go up to watch regardless of where your room is located.
There is a Panera Bread and a McDonald’s just outside the hotel, and a small food court with a Pizza Hut inside.
All hotel rooms include a mini fridge. This is great because unfortunately unlike most other Fairfield Inns, this location does not provide free breakfast. This is the only major downside to this hotel based on our experience staying here multiple times!

4. Camelot Inn & Suites
Camelot Inn At-A-Glance
- Mini fridge and microwave in every room
- Pool and hot tub
- Sundeck doubles for fireworks viewing
- Comfortable rooms
- Market onsite
The Camelot Inn & Suites offers a variety of rooms and suites to comfortably accommodate families of all sizes. The hotel exterior has a European fairytale feel, much like you’d expect from a property called the Camelot Inn. Rooms however are perfectly modern and comfortable, though not the most sophisticated.
They have a heated pool and hot tub on the fourth floor terrace, which is also the perfect place to watch the fireworks at night. There’s also a McDonald’s right next door which is very convenient!

5. Tropicana Inn & Suites
Tropicana At-A-Glance
- Refrigerators and microwaves in every room
- Suites with full kitchens available
- Pool located in parking area
- Comfortable rooms
- Market onsite
From the street it looks deceptively small, but the Tropicana Inn & Suites stretches back very far. Motel style, you can drive back after check-in and park close to your room. Rooms are fairly basic, but decorated with sunny palm trees for a nice California theme.
One thing we didn’t love (but might not bother you) is the motel-style layout puts the pool right in the center of the parking lot, meaning you have to walk between cars and watch for traffic to get from your room to the pool.
But the pool itself is very nice. And when you consider this hotel’s prime location across from the theme parks, it is easy to overlook this outdated detail!

Guest rooms are also fresh and bright, and come equipped with mini refrigerators. Many rooms at The Anaheim Hotel also have a balcony or patio.
