The Best Salads at Disneyland Park
Proof that healthy eating does not have to be boring, here are the best spots to grab a tasty salad inside Disneyland Park.
1. Plaza Inn – Main Street U.S.A

Plaza Inn is considered a quick service restaurant, but I see it as borderline table service. This is because food is hearty and served on real plates, drinks in real glasses, and the seating area is prime. The only thing that makes it quick service is because you order it at the counter and pay for your tray before sitting down to eat. But otherwise – the quality is right up there with some of the best table service restaurants at Disneyland!
► Travel Insight
If you’re planning on watching the parade at Disneyland, order dinner at the Plaza Inn and grab a table outside 20-30 minutes before the parade comes down Main Street. You’ll have a comfy seat, great view, and a beverage to sip while you watch!
The Cobb Salad at Plaza Inn comes with seared chicken, romaine lettuce, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes and blue cheese dressing. I also really like the Specialty Chopped Salad, which comes with mixed greens, chicken, bacon, blue cheese, candied walnuts, dried cranberries, grapes, apples, and a creamy apple cider vinaigrette.
2. Jolly Holiday Bakery Café – Main Street USA
Known for their grilled cheese and tomato soup combo (perfect on a chilly day, FYI!), Jolly Holiday now has a Cranberry-Pecan Salad. This flavorful salad comes with mixed greens, spiced pecans, feta cheese, tomatoes, dried cranberries, and strawberry vinaigrette.
Jolly Holiday Bakery Café also offers the Jolly Chopped Salad – mixed greens, chopped deli meats, Italian relish, garbanzos, olives, and a creamy Italian vinaigrette dressing.
Both of these salads come with a breadstick.
3. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

With Oga’s Cantina and Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has some of the best themed restaurants in all of the Disneyland Resort.
Docking Bay 7 has a great salad you should try if you are looking for something unique and tasty – just don’t let the name deter you! This quick service restaurant menu features the Surabat Valley Greens with Roasted Tip-Yip. Ingredients in this Disneyland salad include marinated chicken, mixed greens, a quinoa-veggie mix, peppers, olives, cotija cheese, and cilantro dressing.
I tried this for the first time on a recent visit to Disneyland. It was very flavorful, and would definitely order it again! The mix of greens were unique and the quinoa and tiny peppers and olives gave it an interesting texture.
4. Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante – Frontierland

In the mood for authentic Mexican food? Head over to Rancho del Zocalo. In addition to a big selection of burritos and traditional Mexican plates, they serve the Rancho del Zocalo Chicken Caesar Salad. This Disneyland salad comes with marinated grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, corn, cotija cheese, pepitas, and a homemade Caesar dressing.
5. Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree – Bayou Country

One of the newest restaurants at Disneyland, Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree replaced the Hungry Bear Restaurant at Disneyland. Themed around the classic Country Bear Jamboree attraction, this quick service restaurant offers a huge spread of BBQ favorites like pork, brisket, and ribs.
I recently tried this place for the first time and had the Barbecue Salad. The salad is made with chopped beef brisket, romaine and kale, cucumber, carrots, corn rib, and vinaigrette. I found the meat a little fatty but overall it was good and the corn is a fun and unique touch.
6. Red Rose Taverne – Fantasyland
Red Rose Taverne is a quick service restaurant with a fairytale-like French flair. They have the Taverne Chopped Salad, featuring chopped romaine with mixed greens, capocollo, ham, muenster cheese, olive tapenade and crouton crumbles with a creamy Italian dressing.
7. Alien Pizza Planet – Tomorrowland

Don’t let its name fool you; Alien Pizza Planet has some of the best salads at Disneyland!
Inspired by the lovable little aliens from Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story films, many menu items at this restaurant have fun, intergalactic names like the classic Count Down Chicken Fusilli pasta dish – which is yummy if you’re feeling indulgent!
But if you are looking for tasty Disneyland salads, Alien Pizza Planet has a few good ones.
The Centurion Chicken Caesar Salad has a grilled chicken breast atop romaine lettuce tossed in Caesar dressing, with croutons and parmesan cheese.

My go-to salad at Alien Pizza Planet however is the Chicken and Orange Salad (PC name for an Asian Chicken Salad). It has diced grilled chicken, greens, shredded carrots, Mandarin oranges, almonds, crispy noodles, sesame seeds and a chili-soy dressing.
They also have a Satellite Salad, which is a decent-sized side salad with mixed greens, tomatoes, and carrots served with your choice of dressing – a good deal for just under six bucks!
8. Galactic Grill – Tomorrowland

Galactic Grill has literally been around forever; I remember going there as a kid. And while they still serve the old standard chicken fingers and burgers, there are now many more healthy options.
One of those healthy options is the Chopped Salad. This tasty dish features grilled chicken, mixed lettuces, cucumber, tomato, onion, red pepper, and feta cheese served with roasted pepper ranch dressing.
9. Tiana’s Palace – New Orleans Square

One of the newest restaurants at Disneyland is Tiana’s Palace, which opened to great fanfare in 2023 in the location where French Market Restaurant used to be. Tiana’s Palace is themed after the Disney movie The Princess and the Frog and features authentic Cajun and Creole recipes.
One of these dishes is the Muffuletta Salad, featuring romaine lettuce, mortadella, salami, rosemary ham, aged white cheddar, croutons, basil, and olive relish. There is also a side version of this Southern specialty if you want a smaller version.
10. Harbour Galley – New Orleans Square
A surprising new finding when it comes to the best salads at Disneyland is the Steak Salad at Harbour Galley, a quick service spot on the waterfront typically known for seafood and sourdough bread bowls.
This salad comes with roasted tri tip, broccolini, haricot verts (kind of like green beans!), pickled fennel, sweet peppers, and red wine vinaigrette.
11. Royal Street Veranda – New Orleans Square
Much like Harbour Galley, Royal Street Veranda has a walk-up window and has traditionally offered bread bowls. Among a few other new offerings, they recently introduced the Strawberry Pecan Salad, a summer mix of romaine and kale mixed greens, fennel, strawberries, candied pecans, and strawberry vinaigrette.
12. Café Orleans – New Orleans Square
Café Orleans is a table service restaurant with outdoor seating and a French Quarter flair. They have an entrée salad called the Melon Arugula Salad – a mix of organic cucumber, melon, toasted seeds, watercress, basil and lemon vinaigrette. It is light and fresh, perfect on a hot day!
You can also order a side Caesar Salad if you’re looking for something small to eat.
13. Blue Bayou Restaurant – New Orleans Square
Of all the restaurants at the Disneyland Resort, Blue Bayou is perhaps the most coveted. How wonderful it is to sit under the twinkling stars (even at lunchtime!) and watch the boats drift by for Pirates of the Caribbean while dining on delicious Creole dishes.
There are several salads at this fairly fancy table service restaurant. The Heirloom Tomato & Watermelon Salad comes with arugula, agave crema, pickled watermelon rinds, and shallot vinaigrette. The other option is the Cherry and Prosciutto Salad – baby greens, Manchego cheese, almonds, and cherry balsamic vinaigrette.
The Best Salads at Disney California Adventure Park
There are many great restaurants at Disney California Adventure where you can find healthy food and salads. Here are a few of our faves.
14. Smokejumpers Grill – Grizzly Peak

Located in Grizzly Peak next to Soarin’, Smokejumpers Grill is a quick service restaurant with a fun, airplane theme. Inspired by the heroic men and women who fight wildfires in California, Smokejumpers Grill serves up American classics like burgers, chicken, and fries. They do have one great salad, though.
Smokejumpers Grill has a Grilled Chicken Salad – romaine lettuce, cucumbers, pickled red onion, pepperoncini, cherry tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and a cilantro-lime Caesar dressing. It has a really zingy flavor which makes this traditional salad a little more interesting!
15. Paradise Garden Grill – Paradise Gardens Park
This Mexican restaurant has the Achiote Chicken Salad, comprised of romaine lettuce, Achiote-marinated chicken, roasted corn, black beans, tomatoes, tortilla chips and cotija cheese, tossed in a spicy Caesar dressing.
Paradise Garden Grill is a quick service spot with outdoor seating. Grab a table and enjoy your meal with live music on stage.
16. Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta – Paradise Gardens Park

We almost never miss stopping in at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta near Pixar Pier when we’re spending a day at Disney California Adventure. That’s because they have a great selection of salads, pizza, and pasta. Sometimes my son and I will pick one of each and share!
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta actually has three great salads. My favorite used to be the Boardwalk Field Greens, but sadly they took it off the menu. Salads offered are now a Side Caesar Salad (which is a great deal at under six bucks for a nicely sized fresh-tossed salad), the Wedge Salad, and an Italian Chef Salad.

The Italian Chef Salad is so flavorful! It has salami, capocollo, fresh mozzarella, pepperoncini, marinated olives, tomatoes, and fresh greens with a zesty vinaigrette.
17. Flo’s V8 Café – Cars Land

Reminiscent of the classic roadside diners that dotted the original Route 66, Flo’s V8 Cafe is a quick-service dining location open for lunch and dinner. It is one of my family’s favorite places to eat, not just in Cars Land at DCA but at the entire Disneyland Resort!
Flo’s kitschy atmosphere and patio tables overlooking scenic Monument Valley and Radiator Springs Racers make this a memorable location to grab a meal.
Though Flo’s V8 Cafe specializes in classic comfort food (aka Flo’s Famous Fried Chicken and Ramone’s Low and Slow Club), they have a great salad called the Race Day Salad. This salad comes with romaine lettuce topped with chicken, snap peas, shaved carrots, ranch dressing, shredded cheese, and chopped bacon.
This new addition to the menu replaces the Cobb de Ville Salad, which I actually really loved. It had turkey breast instead of fried chicken which was a bit healthier, but both are still good!
18. Pym Test Kitchen – Avenger’s Campus

Step inside DCA’s newest land and have a healthy meal of “size-defying fare” at Pym Test Kitchen.
Pym Test Kitchen offers one awesome salad called the Humongous Taco Salad. It has a taco shell loaded with romaine lettuce, chicken, corn, bell pepper, cotija cheese, avocado, and tossed in chipotle ranch dressing.
19. Aunt Cass Cafe – San Fransokyo Square

In August 2023, Pacific Wharf officially transformed into San Fransokyo Square, a new area featuring sights, shops, and cuisine based on Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Big Hero 6.” This reimagined area of Disney California Adventure Park is a fictional mash-up of two iconic cities – San Francisco and Tokyo.
With the transition, Pacific Wharf Cafe became Aunt Cass Cafe. It still houses the Boudin Bakery where fresh sourdough bread is baked on site. But now their menu has shifted a bit to feature American and Asian-inspired dishes.
If you like seafood, try the Chilled Shrimp Soba Noodle Salad. It features tofu, cabbage, edamame, carrots, roasted corn, scallions and cilantro topped with shallots and sesame ginger dressing. They also offer a plant-based Soba Noodle Salad, which is essentially the same dish but without the shrimp.
20. Lamplight Lounge – Pixar Pier

Finally, let’s talk about Lamplight Lounge, one of our favorite Disneyland restaurants! Lamplight Lounge is a table service restaurant and a bit fancier (aka pricier) than many spots. But their food is innovative, delicious, and as pretty to look at as it is to eat.
They have a small menu that includes prawns, chicken, and even tamales. One of their items is the Little Gem Salad, which includes with grilled head-on prawns, cherry tomatoes, pickled onions, crouton dust and Caesar dressing.
Lamplight Lounge also offers a Brussels Caesar, with toasted pine nuts, garlic croutons, roasted red pepper, and dressing.

Keep in mind, menus change frequently at the Disneyland Resort, so even if these exact salads are not available the restaurant will likely have something similar in its place.
